Delicious Lentil Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked lentils

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms

  • 1/2 cup grated carrots

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions

  • 1/4 cup oat flour

  • 1 egg (or 1 flax egg for vegan option)

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked lentils, chopped mushrooms, grated carrots, and chopped onions. Mix well.

  3. Add the oat flour, egg (or flax egg), cumin powder, paprika powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are well combined.

  4. Form the mixture into 4-6 patties.

  5. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are lightly browned.

  6. Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until they are cooked through.

  7. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings.
